MANAAKI LIVING SERVICES

Born from a place of wanting to shape and provide a space where people with disability can personalise and choose the services that they want in their lives without being unduly influenced. The team at Manaaki Living Services believe It is a privilege to be of service to others.

Welcome

Manaaki Living officially started in 2017 after being in the heart and mind of our founder, Jess Robb for many years prior. Jess has worked on the Gold Coast in Community and Disability Services for over 20 years and holds a Bachelor of Psychology and a Diploma in Youth Work. A born connector, she listens to each person's story to help identify the most appropriate supports to live a life of choice & independence. In 2023, Manaaki Living farewelled the gorgeous Sandra Petretich and welcomed Laura Kennedy to the team.

It is a privilege to be of service to others and we do so by providing impartial, individualised, and tailored support that values your unique needs. We focus on listening to you and building close relationships with you and your supporters. Our staff have a family member with a disability and whilst this shared experience gives us some insight, we are acutely aware that every person’s journey is uniquely theirs.

Jess moved to the beautiful Gold Coast in 1994. Born in the Waikato region of Aotearoa (New Zealand) and raised in the tiny town of Waitohi (Picton), Marlborough New Zealand.  Jess has embraced becoming an Australian and remains proud of her Maori heritage. Manaakitanga, in Te Reo Maori means to extend love and compassion to others and the whenua (land). Manaakitanga is a central life concept that acknowledges the power in each of us to build strong and connected families and community.
